BREAKAWAYS presence within AFL's Inaugural National Women's League, The Academy & NSW State Representation

Throughout the seasons there has always been a great depth of breakaways players who have striven to attain elite afl skill level & status.

Previously this was achieved via representation in the state side, with the introduction of the Academy as another viable option for progression in 2016.

Academy Life

The NSW & ACT Female Academies are designed to maximise the development of NSW players.

The five academies, based across four key regions throughout NSW, will allow talent and promising players the opportunity to train in elite environments with exceptional coaches in order to ensure players are given the best opportunity to excel.

Each center will facilitate an Under 18 and Open Women’s group, where they will focus on increasing and mastering skills of the game, building greater game sense, fitness and leadership.
